Mork is frightened and
overwhelmed by the mad rush of his first Christmas until
Mindy explains the Earth observance and its meaning. Mindy
reluctantly relents when Mork, who learned that the season
is a time of caring and sharing, wants to invite pretentious
Susan Taylor to join them and Mindy's family for the holiday.
Mork asks his young friend Eugene to accompany him to a
discount store to buy presents, but is informed by the clerk
that he doesn't have enough money. Mork is excited by Eugene's
suggestion that he can make gifts, and does so. Later, when he
overhears the reactions to his strange labors of love, Mork is
hurt. Then with childlike innocence and joy, he finds a way to
give the best gifts of all to Mindy's family and her "fair-weather
friend", Susan. |
